Blocked users

You cannot join a playlist while a blocked user is present, or a playlist owned by that user. A block does not remove their account or playlists. Guest identity can change with a different browser.

About PartyOnTube

Party plays on one selected device. Participants can add tracks and vote according to your settings.

Radio / DJ lets everyone listen on their own device. The playlist owner and admins control playback.

Just a playlist gives everyone independent playback and shuffle. The playlist team edits the saved list; listeners get changes when they reopen or reload.

Your playlists are saved to your account. Share a playlist code to invite people. You can assign admins and change permissions in Playlist settings.

Videos play directly from YouTube. Browser playback restrictions, ads and buffering can affect synchronisation.

Use Full screen by the video to watch without the playlist. The full screen button in the player bar expands the whole app.

Keep PartyOnTube with your apps and open it in its own window.

iPhone / iPad: open this site in Safari, choose Share, then Add to Home Screen.

Android / desktop: open your browser menu and choose Install app or Add to Home screen, if available.

An internet connection is needed for playlists and playback.

Cast & screens

Choose where to watch. Select your device in your browser or system controls.

Chromecast Video & sound · Chrome on a computer
  1. Connect your computer and TV to the same Wi-Fi.
  2. Start the video on this device in PartyOnTube.
  3. In Chrome, open the ⋮ menu, then Cast, save, and share → Cast…
  4. Choose Sources → Cast tab, then select your Chromecast or TV with Google Cast.

Tab casting shows this tab’s video on your TV and plays its sound there. Keep this tab open. Choose Full screen video below to show just the video.

Only hearing sound? Check that you selected a TV or video-capable Chromecast, not a speaker or speaker group, and that the video is playing in this tab.

AirPlay iPhone, iPad & Mac
  1. Connect your Apple device and Apple TV or AirPlay-compatible TV to the same Wi-Fi.
  2. Open Control Center → Screen Mirroring.
  3. Select your TV and return to PartyOnTube. Keep the video playing on this device.

On Mac, choose the option to mirror your display. To disconnect, return to Screen Mirroring.

Floating video Picture-in-picture

In Chrome on a computer, start the video, open Media control beside the address bar and choose Enter picture-in-picture, if offered.

The floating window is controlled by your browser. PartyOnTube cannot open it directly for this YouTube player.
